Dear Anmol, I am so actively associated with 3 SRB of shree Tavariaji, for last 8 months and moving ahead with all his divine bless, I just want to share that to become free from all sanskaras of all our past lives I have been practicing all of Shree Tavariaji’s recommended practices, from body refining to prana refining (1st step), to gayatri manta to aumkar. Now I would like to practice Yog Nindra. I would be pleased for your guidance for further practices.

    Hey Amol,

Yes please continue with your yoga practice. It will only help.

For the smoking, I will make an unusual suggestion. If the conventional methods have not worked, try the following. Whenever you get the urge to smoke (and when you indulge it), do it with complete awareness. Watch how you react, what you think, how you hold the cigarette, how you feel…. everything. Habits and patterns can be weakened and broken under the glare of attention.

For your back you need to work on it slowly to help strengthen and stretch it. Also, try Kapalbhati Pranayama to help the body improve it’s healing capacity.

    Anmol

    HI Anmol,
I recently started browsing your website and it is amazing. I started doing breathing exercises.
I have a problem.. recently I am attacked with Brain Hamerroahge and I underwent two major surgeries for my brain by opening the skull. Now i am recovering well. But I would like to know if I am eligible of doing Yoga asanas which give some strength to my body. Can you please guide me on what kind of yoga I can do? I started doing some kundalini yogasanas following your instructions in the website but are there any special asanas which increase brain power or capacity.

    Thanks,
    Malathi

  15. Anmol Mehta said,

    on May 21st, 2008 at 4:26 pm

    Hi Malathi,

Great to hear that you are recovering well and am glad you are enjoying the website.

I am little uncomfortable here given you have undergone 2 major surgeries, so my suggestion is going to be to employ pranayamas that are more gentle in nature and build up slowly from there.

Please keep an eye on your overall health as you practice these, and feel free to run them by your doctor as well.

As I pointed out in my last article (The Key to Natural Healing), a relaxed and positive state of mind is very helpful to healing. In addition practicing concentration/awareness meditation would be good for the brain as well. The following course incorporates exactly what I am suggesting you start with (Beginner’s Meditation | Learn How to Meditate Course).

It has a very good pranayama for relaxation and teaches 2 important meditation techniques that are good for concentration and brain function.

Please try them and let me know how it goes.

    All Good Wishes,
    Anmol

I consulted doctor if I can do any exercises or yogasanas and she said untill I feel pain or stress on my neck and head I can do them. But I dont want to proceed with out your suggestions. Hi Malathi,

Great to hear you are doing better.

If you are feeling ok with the previous pranayamas and meditations, please try the following 2 and see how well they suit you. Both are excellent for health and energy…

    1. Kapalbhati Pranayama
    2. 4 Part Deep Breathing Exercise

Please start off slow and proceed gently. Don’t overdo it and develop your capacity systematically over time.

Please also follow closely the sound advice from your Doctor.

    Hi Anmol,
I have been seeing in the Tv, websits regarding different types of yoga forms and am confused what to follow and how to start. is kundalini yoga an advanced form of yoga. can you guide me where to start from as i am very much interested in yoga and meditation.

  25. Anmol Mehta said,

    on August 27th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

    Hi Siddhartha,

Kundalini Yoga is just a different form of Yoga which tends to incorporate more movement than other forms of yoga. Many of the poses and techniques are the same as Hatha Yoga, which is the more traditional approach.

Look at the following 2 e-books and you will get a good idea about what each type of yoga offers.

    Kundalini Yoga Poses
    Hatha Yoga Poses

To start, I suggest to try the Introduction to Kundalini Yoga & Meditation course, you will find the link on the following page Free Online Yoga & Meditation Classes.

Let me know how it goes.

Just start with some simple breathing exercises. Once that gets you going, we can move ahead from there. Try Kapalbhati Pranayama and Anuloma Viloma Pranayama. The combination should give you energy, peace of mind and start you on the path to weight loss as well.

    Stay positive.

    Dear Anmol,

I’m not sure what I did, but after completely spacing out and breathing really oddly well, to the point where there was nothing restricting or obstructing the evenly paced airflow, I released something that, at the moment, I can only describe as “The most terrifying and wonderful experience you could never imagine.” Have you had a similar experience by any chance? Perhaps relating to that symbol around your neck?

Hi. I was so blown away when i found this website. I am so grateful you offer all these resources free. Can you help me- I do not see the joy in life. Dont get me wrong- i am VERY grateful for everything I have. But I see so much darkness in people. And I feel so much darkness on the earth itself. I dont feel the energy radiating from the earth as strong as I used to feel it.And all I want is to be with God, liming and having fun with Him.Being around people irritates me, I seem to feel what they feel and I get so irritated.I feel really lost. I dont know my purpose. I am reading your book, but I still dont know what Im supposed to be doing. I do the breathing exercises and the yoga poses and they do help. I am not depressed, but I feel like I need to burst out of my body,i just feel limited. And can you please tell me what exactly is going to happen in 2012?Thanks. Really, thank you for your website. It’s such a blessing. And i am so grateful i found it. Charlene

    Hi Medha,

Butterfly Pose is helpful and also you can try the yoga set in Appendix 1 of the Silent Mind Meditation Program (just search for those in top right search box).

Don’t force Padmasana though, as that can put strain on knees, ankles etc, and although it is nice, it is not required to accomplish meditation either.

Let me know how it goes.

Glad you are enjoying the website and benefiting from it. Kundalini Yoga Kriyas are very different from Kriyashakti. I will upload some information on Kriyashakti in the future, but for now I suggest practicing the Kundalini Yoga, Pranayamas and the Meditations that are available on the site. These are the best ways to prepare the body for Kundalini and for spiritual and personal evolution.

Let me just share with you some idea’s. Back in 1978 I began to develop rheumatism. I grew up with a grandmother who was afraid of everything and had rheumatism quite badly. So I began to examine my beliefs, attitudes and fears. I had taken on many of her fears bought into a lot of her attitudes. Fear unexpressed is a major inhibitor, it freezes the organism. Once I began to clear out some of this the rheumatism vanished. Through fear I had developed ridged thinking, ridged thinking ridged body, body and mind are one, we cannot separate our attitudes from our bodies. If you look at you mental emotional thought process you may discover the cause. I wish you well..Dino D

Rev. Anmol Ji, My deepest regards for the great work that you are doing for the upliftment of mankind and bringing in Peace, Prosperity and Health, all around.
Having gone through many of the most valuable contents offerred by you through your website and the movie “The Secret”, I’m trying to change the way I have been living so far. Presently, I’m in a foreign land, away from my family & loved ones and trying to make “Praying & Meditation” as the prime things, to spend my time after work.
Please bless me and enlighten me with Wisdom and the true meaning of Life and How to Achieve What “I” wants? What is “I’s” destination ? and exactly who “I” is and where did it come from ? If God created this world then why did he create “evil”, “pains”, etc.
If the sufferings that we face are a result of our past deeds, then How and When did “I” commit a mistake so that the pure soul created by God got contaminated and is made to suffer.
So many questions but your time is Most Precious. It would be a life time obligation to receive enlightening answers from your kindself. Please help me change my life and live in the light of Truth.
    With Deepest regards
    Rakesh

    Dear Sri Anmol Mehta,

I, thank you for the Wonderful Loving Kind Work you are doing in helping others to progress and survive in this harsh world full of negative energy and hard difficult times!

I live in London and found your website (on you tube ) on a sad occasion -I too am experiencing many problems in my life now. I would be very grateful if you are able to answer my querry (it may be too difficult to answer):

I have researched many years on Spiritual-Psychic-3rd Eye/Occult Awareness, but as yet, missing the practicalities i.e materialising such abilities would be absolutely magnificent - especially as one could use such abilities to try and help The Goddess & Her Creation (I Love Kali Durga Mahadevi)! I have been told by family that I do have certain gifts, but I am unaware as how to see/use them. However, I am always in hope/looking for The Great Noble Guide/ tutor friend who may be able to point me in the Right direction? And hopefully, I will learn what is needed to become fully developed in Spiritual & other Knowledge, in-order to becoming the ‘One Beautiful Soul’?

Thank you and I look forward to your kind reply.

You have great website. But, I am perplexed and disappointed to see that you “love Osho”, as stated in one of your comments. After reviewing the Osho website, I couldn’t imagine the nonsense promoted by him. His comments on the Pope, Jesus etc is pathetic. This is a free world. So anybody is entitled to his opinions. But, I fail to see, how such views and commentaries on Osho’s website can ever promote peace & understanding among people. I will be surprised, if many of the people who have positive comments about you, will think the same once they read the views & ideas of Osho and realize your support for him. It will be wise to have no links with Osho or his teachings in any form.

    Hi Joe,

I enjoy Osho’s teachings. Not sure about his comments on these other topics as I have not read all his works, but his books Awareness and Courage are inspiring and insightful.

The teachings are always more important than the teacher, so what I do enjoy are some of these teachings.

    Best,
    Anmol

    Michael,

You should do Jal Neti to help with your sinusites. Anmol will post this on the website soon in case you are not a newsletter subscriber.

The Beginner’s Yoga class, which has good pranayamas, will also be useful and you should start it.

You will find the Beginners Guidelines helpful if you have never done yoga before.

    Ann,

Welcome. I am sorry to hear of your ailments.

I would recommend starting with the Beginners Yoga and Beginners Meditation. It’s a great place to help you get started on your journey.

Being new to yoga I would also recommend reading the Guidelines first.

My prayers are with you. Please keep us posted.

    All the best,
